Don’t ignore this…

Too much pain and suffering – I agree – and the innocent, like little children bother me the most.  It seems unjust, unfair and if there is a good God he would make things right or at least prevent some things from happening………………….
Wouldn’t the most loving action be to stop all this pain and suffering at its primary source…….this is us – human beings?  The big question is WHO decides who gets stopped, for what and how should they be stopped?  Who is capable of making a “just” decision? What is popular or seems right to us? And since actions start first from within – who has the capacity to make just decisions before any action takes place?
This is like a bad movie – and in the end everyone dies and then the movie rolls thru the credits……  I believe we are dissatisfied with these stories because deep inside us “knows” that story is not true true.  My whole life leads me to that conclusion if I slow down …….  When I hunger there is food, I thirst there is water, I hunger acceptance there are friends, wanting justice…….
The problem is the satisfaction is temporary and/or less than expected…….it leaves us always wanting……..something is missing…….
Even if we could stop all pain and suffering today – who answers for the past – is it just ignored?  Pretend it didn’t exist?  Discount the suffering of past – doesn’t seem right.  It’s not fair, not just…… I deep inside know that’s wrong…….everybody does…….we crave justice and that things be made right – just moving on is not enough and if we did just move on – how long would the “peace” last?  Seems like us and the whole world

What the …

Sexual freedom –  a lot of family rules apply only to your family – the Christian family rules in this area are freedom to have as much sex as you want in the context of a marriage between a man and a woman within the protection of a lifelong, committed, death do you part exclusive relationship.  Our family rules prohibit adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, rape and incest.  Why we are so narrow is we believe this is a sacred activity that needs honor and protection.  We believe the same thing about human life and also an individual’s race.  There is a sacredness that deserves special honor and protection.
Having said that – we do believe these rules benefit individuals, couples, families, communities, societies……..history and science seems to indicate we may be right……..no matter how unpopular they may be in our current culture….
